A small, family run floristry business from Blackburn is celebrating national recognition after being selected to represent the town in the floristry category at the Small Business Awards UK.
Harrison & Sage Floral Designs, an independent business based in Blackburn, has been recognised for its work in floristry, marking an exciting milestone for a growing local business with community at its heart.
Run by Serena Harrison, Harrison & Sage offers everything from everyday bouquets and wedding flowers to venue dressing, funeral tributes and seasonal floral installations.
But for the family behind the business, Harrison & Sage has always been about more than simply selling flowers.
With a commitment to making floristry affordable and accessible, the business encourages customers to share their budgets, believing that beautiful flowers should be something everyone can enjoy.
One of its most popular community initiatives is Free Flower Friday, which sees complimentary flowers left in locations around Blackburn for members of the public to discover and take home.

The family business brings together Serena’s passion for floristry and creative design with Lynne’s extensive horticultural knowledge and lifelong love of gardening, following her career as a midwife.
